Double faced fairy

This was one of my very first masks. I made it for a college movement class out of plaster bandages. Using this method does work, and my peers did some interesting performance work in it. However, it is on the heavy side and the plaster can flake off into your eyes. The glass eye in the pick is just taped in the back for display. The cool part about this mask is that it has two faces and it sort of an alien fairy creature. One of my peers would move about like an ape in it and then bend over, his head between his legs, and the second face would appear; a totally different character. |
